You Ain't Woman Enough

Gotta love loretta's sassiness

Roger Miller + The Muppets

The more I listen to Roger Miller the more I like him, plus the man has a pretty nice beard. Here he is with The Muppets.

Brand New Life

15 More Big Ones

Finally! Here comes along Jamzz2 Too..

A slightly different flavor than Vol. Uno, but still majorly Jamzy. Some songs are familiar Affectionandos faves, some are Affectionandos deep tracks, some have had nothing to do with Los Affectionandos up until now. Now I know I took some liberties as far as song length and long artist runs etc., but listen, this mix is here for us to listen to, not scrutinize. So lets get down to it!

1 Summertime - Billy Stewart
2 The Greatest Love - Aaron Neville
3 Down Home Special - Bo Diddley
4 All Around The World - Little Willie John
5 Eloise (Hang On In There) - William Bell

Jeannie's/Tom's Diner

This makes me think of this Nick at Night commercial. I watched I dream of Jeannie religiously in 4th grade and I wore my pony tail really high cause I wanted to be just like her.

Kleenex...

okay, so maybe I like solid colors, a little fraulein attitude, minimal stage movement...and maybe the lyrics are about pretty flowers, favorite colors, and fluffy poodles, but in the uber-romance language that is German, it always sounds a little like barking orders (to this Jew, at least). Seriously cute, though.

Jonathan Richman

on Space Ghost... there were 2 parts but I don't know where the 2nd part went. Here is the first.

ohh it's so dang cute when he says "No!" after space ghost asks if he has enemies.

The Floaters

Fuck I love this!

And my name is Charles, now I like a woman who is quiet, who carries herself like Miss Universe.
I know I posted this before but just in case you forget how amazing The Manhattans are with their rotating man batches.

The Flying Machine

The Cufflinks

This is the song I am named after. I have never really liked my name all that much. I think it's funny how happy the song is because I am kinda a pessimist. My dad only likes happy music though so it makes sense I guess.

Computer Love

CAN

I don't normally pay too much attention to drums in songs but the percussion in this song is super bad ass I must say.

Emma

Dang Hot Chocolate got real. He is real dang sad at the end.

I've Struck Gold

SHIIEEET! My life is complete now that I found out that the song "Popcorn" has lyrics. Not only did I find out that it had lyrics I also found this amazing live dance sequence. Affectionandos dance crew!! Ali you can be the guy with the dance solo.

This is the version I grew up with. My dad would put the 45 on and my sisters and I would hop around the living room pretending to be popping popcorn kernels. It gets really fast so we would go bonkers and fall at the end.

Talk Talk

I used to call this the coca-cola song because the keyboard part reminded me of the coke commercials back when it use to sing "always coca-cola" when i was a wee lad.

Tin Cans and Twine

That spinny noise makes me think of Sonic the Hedgehog spinning in his ball.

Grudzien

THE UNICORN

They'll Need A Crane

My favorite They Might Be Giants song off my favorite TMBG album.

good stuff comin' yer way:

Captain Beefheart

Glass Museum

I am in love with this album and want it on vinyl so hard

I'm bugged at my ol' man

oh B.Wilson you're still endearing even when your fat and bonkers

Van Dyke Parks

The Demo Tape

I can't find a media fire link but The Demo Tape by Kelz is something everyone should own. Sure there are annoying things about it. Like its all chopped weird and its got annoying voices that randomly say shit like "GANGSTA GRILLZ" and there is a whole lotta auto tune I could do without but I feel that the good out weights the bad. I think I listened to this more than any other album last year.

When I get up all in ya

speaking of 10cc...

Political Science

I Never Wanted You

Divorce jam

I love David Bazan's face when he sings. He has like a nervous tick and his face gets super contorted... it's cute.

I'm not in love

This is kinda one of those guilty pleasure songs. It creeps me out when it whispers "big boys don't cry" I do like that the guy with the giant circle beard kinda looks like Harry Shearer in Spinal Tap.

Go Lucky

This took me forever to find

It used to be on youtube ages ago, long gone now.
J Richman, Sproul Plaza Berkeley Campus 1981. enjoy

Thunderbirds + The Shaddows

I used to watch Thunderbirds Are Go when I was younger and I always liked the instrumental song when they go to the swinging star. After that Cliff Richards sings "Shooting Star". The song I like kicks in at 2:18 and ends at 3:50. Oh creepy little puppets!

New England

Another one of my crushes. So nasally so cute. He is playing May 18th at The Smell. I am a broke ass bitch and will be unemployed soon so I think I will have to miss out on this one.

Roy Orbison - It's Over

Roy Orbison - Running Scared

Roy Orbison - Crying

Vomit inducing

Thanks for taking a song that is awesome and shitting on it Nicole Kidman and Robbie Williams. Uhh his tattoo.... her clunkly sparkle vag. BARF!

Simon's stache

We can't leave out Paul Simon's stache! While it doesn't compare to Artie's it still needs some recognition.

You can call me Al

Oh, Darling

Who the hell is this Gibbgirl54? I'm gunna have to take out my weave and throw down to fight for my man.

Artie's tache is a beauty here

Sunset Woman

The sound quality is balls on this but it will have to do. I like how sad and fucked up this song is. I have no clue who Dave Loggins is but I remember this song when i was a kid, of course I didn't know it was about a whore then. It just reminded me of Princess Bride a bit.

Sunset woman, nobody needs you
You're a worthless woman
An aging overnight friend
Sunset woman, nobody needs to be drowned in your wishing well of sin

I love these guys!

again... and again.... and again... and again... and again...

I was gonna post the Jimmy Webb solo version but embedding was disabled... he's still got the face in this one though

and then full blown...

A little bit of soap

I have been listening to this one. It's good to be upbeat and sound happy about having a retarded and hurting heart. I also like when he sings really deep. DEEP IT!

Long Long Time

I am not very familiar with Linda Ronstadt's music in general but I have always loved this song a lot.

I will also be the creep to admit that she was really hot.
