*also see the below solomon burke post because i re-upped those songs/vids (still crappy) but maybe they will work this time... let me know if they dont
And here are those youtubes for Mr Yunk (see below post). they are good'uns but I apologize in advance for the botched editing jobs... I was using an online editor at work and didn't have much time, but its the song that counts right? anyway I kind of like how retarded they are...
It is often said "it takes two generations to make a star." Solomon very much belonged to the first. While Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, and James Brown became household names, Solomon's star never truly reached the heights he so richly deserved. Despite his massive frame and resulting health problems (which saw him performing on stage from a throne in recent years), the 'King of Rock n' Soul' would outlast them all, remaining relevant until the very end, continuing to record critical albums, and performing around the globe. His career featured a couple of memorable resurgences, including when his biggest hit Cry to Me (1962) stormed back up the charts after being featured on the Dirty Dancing Soundtrack, and secondly when his album Don't Give Up On Me came from nowhere to win the Grammy for Best Contemporary Blues Album in 2003. In popular culture, I believe his legacy can really be seen in his oversized influence on artists such as Barry White, Isaac Hayes, and Teddy Pendergrass, among others. Perhaps more importantly, in his personal life, his legacy is represented by 21 children, 90 grandchildren, and 19 great-granchildren. Wow. Although I can't locate some of my favorite Solomon Burke jams on Youtube, including "Can't Nobody Love You," and "I'm Hanging Up My Heart For You," this lovely song from 1976 is a fitting tribute to this truly larger-than-life figure:
The Best in Contemporary Adult music of the Past, Present and Future.
Or MALAYA'S JAZZ DANCE CLASSICS.
Yes, that's right. I've done full jazz handed, lyrical jazz dances, combinations, routines, whatever you'd like to call them, to half of these songs, thanks to Malaya's Jazz 3 class at Hollywood's The Edge Performing Arts Center. OH, man... It's so furry and chubby. I credit Eric with letting some of these tunes re-enter my brain through his okee renditions. Starting it off right with AC 360's movie song #1, then into a Sparkling Yunker classic okee jam, and up, down, and into Sade's super chub number, Is It A Crime, where she tears you a new one. And a super cra-shen-doe crash number into your butt-gina, base throbbing, Moments in Love. Then smoothin out like green tea yogurt into some serious post-apocalyptic future and past jazz routine classics.

I've been listening to this non-stop for the past day and a half (especially the first two tracks). Makes me feel good inside. Makes me a better, calmer driver... http://www.mediafire.com/?8hlp3i69i2k696s
