I will admit that I originally hated Randy Newman. All I thought about was the Toy Story soundtrack. Sorry Randy, you just did not have a friend in me.
Then I decided to give his early stuff a good listen... and found out - HEY! There is way more to Randy Newman than that god awful soundtrack.
My good friend Samantha McCarthy made me this Essential Randy Newman mix in attempts to convince me of his talent. Three years later I got this in the mail. This is one well thought out Randy Newman mix! It includes her favorite songs from his first five albums placed in sequential order. Enjoy!
