Just so we're clear, Jeffrey Osborne's proving ground started with another of my long-time favorite bands: LTD (aka Love, Togetherness, and Devotion)! Jeffrey, as well as his brother Billy (who is co-lead vocals in LTD), individually set off for solo careers after contributing to monster smash hits such as deez nutsssszzz...
'Love Ballad' is mine (and apparently Jeffrey's favorite from the era, performed recently) I'm sure you've all been subject to my hack karaoke version:

And this jam is just simply one for the ages. A timeless masterpiece...a heartfelt appeal to the man in the mirror after all those damn one night stands -- man whores and playa's everywhere will likely be singing this heartfelt classic til the sun explodes:
